bringing nannies and families together

Nannies Today > Families > Contracts

It is important for both parties that a contract is written out for both the nanny and the employer. This is so everything can be explain clearly and understood by both the nanny and the employer before the start of contract.

Here are some useful points that you should consider included in your contract:-

  1. Start date.
  2. Nanny's hours.
  3. Nanny's duties.
  4. Pay, including overtime rate, whether it’s paid weekly/monthly and details of pay reviews.
  5. Who is responsible in paying TAX and NI >> find out more
  6. The nanny's holidays, and when these can be taken.
  7. Sick pay.
  8. Confidentiality.
  9. Notice period for both nanny and employer.
  10. Accommodation arrangement.
  11. Travel arrangements if the nanny uses their own car.
  12. Paying for activities involving the children.

We hope these few points help you to put together a contract suitable for yourself and your nanny.
